Screamplay (1985)

Q says: “What did you think of of The Forbidden Zone? I says: “I liked it.” So’s we watched Screamplay. A Troma release from 1985, but don’t let that scare you off – it doesn’t have the typical Troma feel at all. It’s shot in black and white and Q is indeed right, it reminded me a lot of Forbidden Zone and was nothing at all like, oh, The Toxic Avenger. It’s the story of a wide-eyed writer who wants to make it big in the movies. Turns out the murders he writes in his screenplay come to life and he’s suspect number one in the police hunt for the murderer. Though this movie is pretty darn cheap, it’s clever, funny, and it actually looks pretty good. I recommend this!

Then you must see “Bucket of Blood”, a ’50s beatnik horror film directed by Roger Corman. i might actually have given my copy to Michael-boy.
